The Essence of Dogpawfile Please take the time to read our guidelines, because Dogpawfile is a community site where we come to share pictures and stories about our wonderful dogs. There are so many site’s out there on the world wide web where people can go to find drama etc but this is our little slice of Heaven, so please let’s not spoil it. Dogpawfile Website 1. You must own the dog and the pictures you are posting. 2. It is not appropriate for a member to create more than one membership account without advance permission. 3. All content posted on Dogpawfile, for example, text, images and video, including the content on the pages of posted external links, must be appropriate for all ages. Content that contains profanity, or is sexually explicit or depicts abuse or death of animals is not allowed on Dogpawfile. 4. Respect other members of the community. We appreciate that there will be differences of opinion but there is no place for abusive or threatening dialogue. Treat others as you would like to be treated. If another community member is behaving in an inappropriate manner, don’t respond in kind – report the incident to the Moderators immediately. If an argument or disagreement happens in private, keep it in private don’t bring it onto the pawries. If an argument does start on a pawries and it is between two people leave it & contact a Moderator. 5. There is absolutely no personal name calling allowed on Dogpawfile, . Ganging up on other members is also against the rules. 6. Mind your manners. Remember that young people will be looking at the site. As a general rule, if it wouldn’t be said or shown on a TV programme shown before 9pm, don’t post it. 7. Dogs don’t discriminate on the basis of age, race, religion or sex – we expect Dogpawfile to be the same. Any offensive behaviour will result in a Dogpawfile ban. 8. Treats are nice, it’s a fun thing, but it’s not a popularity contest. Please don’t beg other users for treats – it’s annoying! 9. This is a site for dogs and their owners, you can have a dog girlfriend or dog boyfriend that’s ok but it is not a dating site for their owners. 10. Protect your privacy – don’t publish your e mail address or other contact details which could lead to unwanted approaches. 11. Minors should definitely not divulge their age when adding details to the site. This is an open site and we have no control over who browses. 12. Although we love every dog and cat, we do not allow any pet pages or postings offering or alluding to the sale of any animals or breeding services. 13. You should only upload photographs to which you own the rights. Failure to comply will result in the photographs being removed. Passing off other people’s photographs as your own could land you in hot water! 14. Please do not use the site to advertise your business or products (unless you have our prior consent). 15. We are happy for other rescue organisations to be mentioned on this site. However, we will not tolerate the site being used to sell animals or to advertise breeders or breeding services. 16. Whilst we are happy for people to talk about veterinary matters and problems their dogs may be encountering, please remember that there is no substitute for the advice of a qualified veterinarian. 17. Dogpawfile advocates training based on kindness and reward. Any posting that involves punishment-based training techniques will be removed and the poster liable to a ban. 18. Malicious or potentially libellous postings of any description will be removed. Moderators Members should always respect the statements of forums moderators and Admin. It is fine if you disagree with Admin or a moderator action, but never forget the correct way to share your grievance is to directly contact Admin. The incorrect action is to challenge, defy, debate or ignore the moderator or Admin action in any of the public pawries or forums. We here at Admin are very understanding and carefully consider all grievances. Always bring grievances directly to us and we will consider, research, discuss the situation internally and respond directly to you. We strive to respond to any community issue within 24 hours, but note it can take up to 72 hours, especially on weekend, to have adequate time to respond. It's very important to remember that simply because we do not respond as fast as would be liked that in no way allows for terms of the community guidelines to be ignored. Members should never gossip about the status of another user's accounts in the public forums. Please don't ever post on the behalf of someone who is under review or has been asked to leave our community. Private Messaging/Pee Mail PM conversations are person-to-person private un-moderated conversations. We expect that all conversations will be fun and friendly exclusively and always at the agreement of both parties. If either party is disinterested in continuing the conversation or speaking again that should ALWAYS be respected no matter what the reason. Dogpawfile is family friendly and our civility and etiquette rules require that all conversations be fun, friendly and informative. PM is never to be used to insult, scream, intimate, at anyone ever. There can never be an exception to this rule. If someone has violated your fun use of the site by breaking these or any of our other core civility rules contact a Moderator. Users should be aware that while no public record is available of these communications, Dogpawfile does retain archives which can be accessed if needed as proof of inappropriate behavior. The Three Strike Rule! Admin will implement this when somebody breaks the community rules. It works like this, There will be two strikes and if the behaviour continues then on the third strike you will be banned from using the Dogpawfile site. Responses to Violations Dogpawfile Moderators & Admin has the right to take action if you disregard the community guidelines. Actions we will take can include editing inappropriate language, denying temporarily access to certain features, denying temporary access to all features or denying permanent rights of membership to participate in any or all of our communities. If Dogpawfile Admin places an account under temporary review, under no circumstances should you try and create a new account, login using another person's account or try and circumvent the review process in any way. Attempting this could result in losing permanent rights of membership. Admin will contact you in advance to let you know your account status and they will be the one to work with to resolve the problem. We are always available to talk about pressing problems. If you have done anything so bad as to lose your membership rights, you will lose all rights to create an account, pet pages or particpate in community features. Any attempt to circumvent this ban will guarantee your membership status can never be reconsidered. If you are unsure of the exact meaning of any of these terms simply seek clarification from a moderator or Admin before risking an abuse.
